Founder and director of Studiodanz, Angela graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Modern Dance in 1991 and was awarded the overseas scholarship by the Asian Culture Council to attend the American Dance Festival in North Carolina and received further training in New York for her remarkable talent. Angela then also continued to equip herself to work as a professional dance artist by receiving extensive trainings in the US.
Besides being a professional dancer, Angela has been passionate about nurturing young talents. In 2003, Angela founded Studiodanz, which has now become one of the leading dance institutes in Hong Kong. Angela has organized the annual Studiodanz Dance Festival and The Best Dance Crew since 2010, both have become mega dance events in Hong Kong. In 2007 Angela also co-organized the professional dancer development programme, The Showbiz Project. Since 2017, she has started to direct a new dance training project, AS Dance Project, with another renowned dance artist, Sunny Wong, to train professional and emerging dance artists.
Apart from artistically directing Studiodanz, Angela has also been invited to be a guest instructor (Jazz and Jazz Funk) at various local universities. Known for her dynamic style and cutting edge insight for the dance field in Hong Kong, Angela has been invited as a choreographer in all areas of performance and concerts for many local artists. Also as an accomplished teacher and dancer, Angela has also been invited to be guest judge in most prestigious competitions in Hong Kong.
