Kaya is a freelance dancer, performer, street dance instructor, and choreographer. Trained from the dance society of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, she is currently a member of the Waacking dance crew Luc.
From a young age, Kaya has honed her skills in Chinese dance and various styles of street dance, allowing her to express herself with a rich vocabulary of movement. In recent years, she focuses on teaching and researching Jazz Funk and Waacking. Passionate about creativity, she thrives on pushing boundaries and surprising audiences with quirky, wild, and entertaining ideas.
Her performance credits include participation in concerts and events such as the Ronald Cheng’s 2019 World Tour Concert, Tino Sehgal’s “This Variation” at Tai Kwun, The Dance We Made at the West Kowloon Cultural District, Matteo Ricci the Musical, and the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Arts and Culture Festival 2023. Through her dedication, Kaya continues to share her passion in dance to the community.
