Kelvin Lam graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Modern Dance and was a recipient of numerous scholarships, including The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships and Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Scholarships. In 2008, Kelvin founded a non-profit-making dance group, Off The Ground, with Flora Hon and Jo Leung. They have produced productions including Endlessness and Core Side Out, a programme supported by Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Eternity is…? supported by Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
Kelvin has furthered his studies in the US and is an all-round dance artist. He worked as a dancer in numerous local concerts for pop artists such as Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok, Leehom Wang, William Chan, Sammi Cheng and Twins, and also choreographed for Shirley Kwan and Deanie Yip. Lam is currently teaching at various institutes such as HKAPA and Studiodanz, and is the choreographer for a number of dance crews in local universities. Kelvin is also a member of the dance team SD CREW, which has been invited as guest performers in local and overseas events.
