Bianca
Cheung

Biography

Bianca Cheung is a freelance artist born in Vancouver, Canada and raised in Hong Kong. She started professional ballet training at the Hong Kong Youth Ballet Academy in 2015 and also trained extensively in contemporary, jazz, and urban dance growing up. In 2021, she danced with Beyond Dance Theater where she had the pleasure of working closely with Kelvin Mak, Poon Chun Ho, and Jack Wong. In 2022, she earned her B.F.A. in Contemporary Dance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Post-graduation, she moved to Los Angeles as a freelance dancer, teacher, and choreographer. Throughout her years in the U.S., she has been fortunate to work with choreographers: Madison Olandt, Derion Loman, Victor Quijada, Brian Brooks, Megan Paradowski, Christopher Kinsey, Stephanie Dai, Gabrielle Lamb, and Maura Townsend.

As an educator with a strong curiosity and passion for movement, Bianca hopes to continue sharing in a way that encourages honesty, kindness, and an open heart. She believes that movement is meant to be pure and raw, with an intention of expressing authentic experiences that reflect who we are as unique individuals. Bianca has taught at SHIFT Dance HK, Infinity Dance Studio, Studiodanz Academy, Loyola Marymount University, The Elite Dance and Performing Arts Center, Long Beach Ballet, and Li’s Ballet studio.
