Fonteyn graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Art (majoring in Contemporary Dance with a minor in Choreography). She started learning Chinese dance at the age of six, and also learned Latin dance, Street Dance and Flamenco dance. She was also the recipient of the Contemporary Dance Faculty Scholarship 2020/21.
During her time at the academy, she has worked with numbers of emerging artists and performed in a wide range of dance performances. Collaborating with choreographers include Marso Riviere (France), Christina Mertzani (Greece), Raewyn Hill (Australia), Jaime Redfern (Australia), John Utans (Australia), Richard Causer (Australia), Dominic Wong (Hong Kong), Li Yong-jing (Hong Kong), Terry Tsang (Hong Kong) , Ata Wong (Hong Kong ) and Billy Chan (Hong Kong ).
In Hong Kong, she has worked with City Contemporary Dance Company, Theatre de la Feuille, E-side Dance Company, TS Crew, Jockey Club New Arts Power, Hong King Arts Festival and Hong Kong Street Dance Development Alliance. She has been to Amsterdam and London to learn modern dance and exchange at local dance schools.
Fonteyn is also a Latin dance instructor. As she has experience in various dance styles, she can be more adaptable to develop her unique style. Currently, she focuses on Contemporary Dance and is enthusiastic to bring positive message to the society with her artistry.
